Theewaterskloofdam

One of my favourite places to do Landscape photography in the Western Cape is the Theewaterskloofdam. Walking there is just so peaceful and quiet. You have these beautiful dead trees, streams, dam and the mountains in the background. Recently I also did a model shoot there and it was really great. You can see it here.

Tip of the day:

Plan your compositions beforehand. Then wait for the light.

Giants Castle

A couple of months ago I had the privilege to go to Giants Castle in the Darkensberg South Africa. I went with two of my great friends Mark Dumbleton and Andrew Averley. Thank you guys it was awesome.

Giants Castle is probably one of the most incredible places I have been to. The great Drakensberg mountains, rivers and the big vultures makes this a must see. With the Bearded Vulture being on the endangered list and the interaction with the Jackal the photographic opportunities are great.

Driving in the Overberg

I have decided to make this blog live again. I was very busy with my wedding photography and new website for it that i did not have time to post here. Thank you for your support.

The Overberg is so rich with photographic opportunities and I sometimes take it for granted. Yesterday I decided to go out again and take some photos and this is when I realized that I do take it for granted.

I just got in the car with some friends with no plan and ended up on the farm roads near Protem. We spent about 3 hours only out and got some great images. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
